Julia + Ian // Martha's Vineyard Wedding All Over Edgartown

We had such a blast with Julia and Ian; these guys really know how to throw a party! And such great taste! We got to shoot at two of our favorite restaurants on the island, Sweet Life Cafe for their rehearsal dinner and the incredible Atria for the wedding.

And the Whaling Church in Edgartown has to be one of our favorite ceremony locations on the Vineyard as well. Such incredible architecture and amazing light; it really makes our job easy. Even when it’s gloomy and grey outside and the wedding party has to trudge through the rain, squeezed tightly under umbrellas to try and stay dry (which also makes for pretty nice pictures)

Fortunately, the rain cleared by the late afternoon leaving only a picturesque layer of fog. We got some amazing shots of Julia and Ian wandering through it at the gardens of the Daniel Fisher House a few blocks away during some of the after-dinner downtime. It’s always so lovely at Atria- cocktail hour in the garden, dinner inside in the restaurant and dancing in the outdoor bar and patio area; weddings always seem to flow so naturally moving through different locations of that venue. We even stuck around a bit for the after-party in the ~secret bar~ in the basement. Most of those photos have a pretty thick layer of fog over them as well!

Rebecca + Marc // Clam Bake at the Chappaquiddick Beach Club

Guys, what could be more New England-y than a clam bake? We couldn't have been more excited to photograph Rebecca and Marc's at the beautiful Chappaquiddick Beach Club. The Club has to be one of my favorite venues on Martha's Vineyard. I just love the red, white and blue cabanas and the view of Edgartown harbor; it's such a special place! Rebecca and Plan It MV really put together a beautiful evening, too! After sipping on cocktails, taking in the sunset and a few games of corn hole, guests ate on an authentic New England clam bake by the famous Bill Smith crew. All in all, an incredible evening!
